Thinking of selling your home? – Looking for Listings

The housing market is busier than ever in Olympia. There are more buyers looking than there are sellers, meaning that it is still a seller’s market in the Pacific Northwest. In a seller’s market, there is less inventory and less competition for the houses on the market.

There are currently too many buyers and I am always looking for new listings. If you are thinking about selling you house, or are ready to sell your house, get in touch with me and we can begin the process. I will let you know what to expect, help you prepare for listing your house, and answer any questions that you may have.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year and welcome to 2018!

2017 was a successful year in real estate in the Pacific Northwest, I had a total of forty-nine homes, both listings and buyers. I would like to thank my clients and say that I truly enjoy being a real estate agent in Olympia, Washington.

That being said, it is time to begin a new year and this year is staring out as a seller’s market. And with so many buyers, more listings are needed. For example, right now I am looking for a house with acreage, condos, ramblers, and the list could go on. However, if you are looking to buy and not sell, it’s not impossible. You just have to be proactive about your search and get ahead of the buyers that have already been looking.

If you are looking to buy or sell this year, or would just like to discuss real estate and get some questions answered, call (360) 338-8355, or email ron@vandorm.com.

It’s a Sellers Market

If you are considering selling your home, it’s a seller’s market right now. Currently, there are more buyers and fewer sellers. Fewer sellers means that there are fewer homes to compete with yours, at a time when motivated buyers are out looking and wishing there were more houses to look at. With less competition, it is easier to get a potential buyer’s attention and there will possibly be more buyers looking at your home.

During the holiday season, buyers are more motivated to buy a house. They are taking time out of their busy holiday schedule and possibly braving the bad weather to look at homes.

For an example of the market right now, I had a home go on the market today and already has two offers.

If you are looking to sell your home, contact me with any questions or to list your home.

Sunrises & Homes – Olympia, Washington

Sunrise Homes double

Olympia Washington has amazing sunrises and sunsets. But nothing beats a beautiful sunrise to get your morning started. Today from my home, I had a double sunrise, one right out of the window and one right on the news. I absolutely love where I live, and when you have a real estate broker, like myself who loves where they live. It will show through my work, when I am showing you homes or when I know about homes that are not on the market yet that will be. For example, I know of a home coming on with a beautiful view around my home that could be up for grabs.

I also want to say thank you to my amazing clients that are moving out here from the east coast, and trusted me in their purchase of the home remotely. Not only did they get a amazing home, and they are great people, but on top of that we negotiated a new roof on the home as well. They will stay nice a dry now, and have a beautiful home in a great neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with helping you buy or sell a home for you. Or if you are interested in special areas or homes that might be coming on the market soon. I love Olympia, Washington and I am positive you and your family will as well.

Early Snow Day in Olympia

It’s official. The warm weather has made it’s exit, and has left the door wide open for winter to make its entrance.

One thing you can count on in the Pacific Northwest is the diverse weather we have. One day can be sunny and warm and the next can be pouring down rain. And no two years are the same. Why, just yesterday morning, we were surprised with a rain/snow mix that turned into just under an inch of snow, tying for the record of earliest snow fall in Olympia (the earliest being Nov. 3, 1973, when 1.4 inches fell).

If you like a variety of weather in the seasons, Olympia may be the perfect place for you.
